The American movie scene is like nothing else on the face of the planet. While many famous actors and actresses may seem out of touch with the issues facing the rest of the general public and the world, a lot of them do genuinely good things for the world with their money and influence. Even though a lot of them do partake in charity work simply to make them feel better about themselves, that doesn't change the fact that they're still making the world a little bit of a better place. I don't really follow all of the tabloids concerning Hollywood and all of the events that go on within it, but it's all but impossible to completely avoid all of the coverage of it. You'd have to live in a cave to avoid Hollywood completely. It's hard for me to name any of my favorite actors/actresses or movies because there are just far too many of them and there seem to be more and more popping up every day. I do, however, admire directors such as Wes Anderson, Steven Spielberg, and Quentin Tarantino for many of their works. The Grand Budapest Hotel and Pulp fiction are some of my particularly favorite movies. Movies truly are an amazing thing and we're lucky enough to live in a time when the industry is in what seems like an unending state of growth and advancement. I'll admit that I, like many others I'm sure, have had fleeting fantasies about making it as a big Hollywood actor, but I remain grounded in the reality of the unlikeliness of that ever happening. Still, it's interesting to hear and read about all of the drama and happenings that go on throughout the American movie scene, and imagine what it would be like to be a part of it. It can't be denied the massive impact Hollywood has on the social and political scene of the world. Actors and Actresses are powerful figures that have the means to truly make a difference in the world. Whether you like it or not, Hollywood isn't going anywhere. It's always going to be a part of the world, and will continue to influence it long into the future.
