Balance

Balance is necessary for most things in life in my opinion. Whether it be with your schedule, with your diet, with your relationships, etc., having too little or too much of anything usually isn't a good thing. Balance isn't something that is usually easy to obtain, but, like I said, it's crucial for so many aspects of our lives. When we are balanced, we're stable, we're secure, and we are thinking and seeing things clearly. When we're out of balance, we find ourselves in a state of chaos, a state of turmoil that is altogether detrimental to our general well being. Achieving and maintaining balance is a goal that will never truly be completed, rather it will be sustained through the act of consistent effort, action, and mindfulness. What does balance mean to me? To me, it doesn't just mean moderation, it means the acceptance of the fact that some things will always tip our scales unevenly and that it's often for the best to remove those things from our lives whenever and wherever we can. It also means the acknowledgement that there will be times when our scale tips negatively, and that it will often times require large amounts of effort to bring ourselves back to a state of peace, tranquility, and stability. Balance is key to living the best quality of life that you have the potential to live.
