I love my siblings, I really do. I love spending time with them, I love hearing about how their lives are going, and I love reminiscing with them about the shared childhood experiences we all have. I'm blessed enough to have five siblings, all with unique personalities and characteristics. I love my little sister Ellie's work ethic and sense of humor. I love my little brother Danny for his personality that many people say is similar to mine, which I think is a big reason that he and I have always gotten along really well. He's a very laid back person, and I'm the same way. I love the sense of humor and positivity displayed by my older sister Hannah. She never fails to find a way to make me laugh no matter how down I might be feeling. My older brother Tim has a similar sense of humor, and I recently learned that he and I have quite a bit more in common than I previously realized, especially the fact that we both struggle with depression. When I was at one of my lowest points, he opened up to me and showed me that I'm never alone and I'll never forget that deeply profound conversation that we had. I strongly admire the intellect of my oldest brother Sam. He is by far one of the smartest people I've ever met, and it's been a wonderful privilege to see him start his own family and become a great father to my niece and nephews. Friends will come and go, romantic relationships will come and go, but you have your siblings for life. They will always be a part of your life whether you like it or not, and the relationship you have with them will help you through the inevitable hard times you will experience throughout your time in this world. I know that my siblings certainly have always been there for me. I'm not going to lie, close as I may be with my siblings, my relationship with them could be better, and that's my fault. I need to reach out to them more, whether that be making the trip to see them or simply giving them a call from time to time. Siblings are forever so you should do your very best to have good relationships with them.
