Do I believe in Miracles? The answer to that is somewhat complex. I believe that there are many things in this life that happen and we can't explain them in terms of our limited human perspective. I believe that there is a reason we exist, and therefore there are instances when amazing things happen for the reason that we're here. Many people have trouble with mixing up miracles and magic, and that's not particularly shocking. Both are instances of amazing, unexplainable occurrences, but I've always thought of miracles as based in religion, where as magic is more based in the occult. I've never personally witnessed a miracle, but I wont deny that it's possible that other people have. After all, the term miracle is highly subjective. What one person might consider to be phenomenal, another person wouldn't bat an eye at. I don't think that cliché miracles such as walking on water, multiplying loaves and fishes, raising the dead, turning water into wine, etc. really exist. Mainly because biblical miracles have been stretched and exaggerated throughout the accounts of them that have been documented throughout history. I'm not saying that incredible and unexplainable things can't or haven't happened, I'm just saying that I doubt they're as common as some would consider them to be. The concept of miracles is a fascinating thing to ponder, and it would be incredible to witness one, but again, the definition of what does or does not constitute a miracle is highly subjective. In a way, life in and of itself could be considered a miracle. The conditions that allowed for life to flourish on this planet are, as we are continuously learning about, one in a million and I can see how some would say that that is indicative of the existence of miracles.
