Community Service

Throughout my life I've done my fair share of giving back to the world. I've always felt the desire to take part in community service because I feel a sense of duty to provide what services I can to aid the world that has provided me with so much. Obviously very few people truly enjoy work, let alone working for no pay, but in reality we are getting paid when we take part in community service. It's cheesy to say, but it's true that we're paid with the good feelings of a sense of accomplishment and charitability that we really can't get from anything else. My philosophy is that if you are fortunate enough to been given the resources, you have the responsibility to utilize those resources to give back and make a difference in the world. The cliché phrase so many people use to describe the benefit of community service is a "warm fuzzy feeling" and, while again, very cliché, it really is true. If you have the means, you have the responsibility to give. That's just my opinion.
