I've never really been one to get swept up in the latest fashion trends. I'm definitely someone who prefers comfort and functionality over flashiness and style. Now, that's not to say that I don't put in at least a little bit of effort into cultivating my own unique sense of style, I absolutely do, but I just don't make it a major part of my day to day life. I have nothing against people who religiously follow the trends, in fact, in a way, I'm jealous of them and sometimes wish I kept up to date with style. Throughout history, the only constant thing about fashion is that it has never been constant. Each generation has had it's own unique trends and styles going back all the way to the ancient times when man first dawned outer garments. I think that we as human beings are just naturally drawn towards extravagant adornments and garments, and I don't think that's ever going to change. Again, for some people, fashion is a huge thing and an enormous industry, and on the other hand some people barely pay attention to it at all. There are definitely standards for what is considered acceptable to wear, but those boundaries are growing and changing along side the society that they are intertwined with.
