There are few things in this world that are as difficult as forgiving someone who has wronged you. Whether it be a minor discretion or something life altering, forgiveness is a huge hurdle to overcome. I know that I myself have had a difficult time with forgiveness. Not just with others, but with forgiving myself. I've found that if we ever want to truly heal, forgiveness is something that simply isn't optional. I've been wronged in my life, but I've always made my best effort to forgive, even though that's much easier said than done. Everyone is different when it comes to their capacity to forgive, but we all know that in order to move forward with our growth and our lives in general, we must do our utmost to let bygones be bygones. Healing is a hard and often unpleasant process, it really is, but it's a crucial step to take. It's difficult to forgive others, but it's even harder to forgive ourselves. We are our own worst enemy, this is a painfully true statement. Make it a priority to first forgive yourself, that way you can fully grow as a person.
