Travelling

There are many places that I've been to in the world, but there are so many more that I wish to someday experience. Travelling is something that I think we all either openly, or secretly want to experience. Can anyone honestly say that if money weren't an issue, they wouldn't gladly travel the world and see all the amazing things this globe has to offer? I think that if anyone was given that opportunity, most people would take it without a second thought. I know that I for one would like to visit so many places. I'd like to backpack across Europe, I'd like to see the Great Wall of China, I'd like to see Machu Picchu and the Andes mountains, and I'd like to experience the savannas of Africa. I want to see the Pyramids of Giza, I want to see the Australian outback, and countless other places and structures, natural, manmade or otherwise. I've done a little bit of travelling in my life. I've seen the cliffs of Moher in Ireland, I've seen Stonehenge, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Mona Lisa, and the Mayan ruins at the Yucatan peninsula. I look back on all these memories and experiences and treasure each and everyone. Every country I've visited has left a mark on me that I'll never lose and if I could experience the rest of the world, I'd take that opportunity without a second thought. This world has so much to offer. So much beauty, so much culture, and so much knowledge. Sadly however, most people will never get the chance to experience it all. Most people will go through their lives in a bubble of what they have always known. Human beings have consistently migrated throughout history, from the cradle of humanity, to every corner of the world. I think that this is because we weren't meant to live sedentary lives. We're supposed to traverse this world and experience all that we can before our time on earth is over. I know that the next time I get a chance to travel somewhere I've never been, I'll take it in a heartbeat.
