The reason that I feel like this is a topic worth talking about is that I feel it goes hand in hand with my last entry. Just as travelling is the key to experiencing and understanding the world around us, meditation is the means by which we explore the inner world within ourselves. For me, meditation is an activity I use to take inventory of my life, to reflect on the path I'm on, the choices I've made, and the future I hope to shape for myself. However, that's not all meditation is to me. It's also a means of calming my spirit and mind when the world throws adversity my way. I think meditation something everyone should take part in from time to time. It's a fantastic way to distance yourself from the chaos of the outer world for a bit and take care of your mental health. Often times when we are meditating, we get the time to think of things from a different perspective that we would have otherwise overlooked. During meditation we can have a sort of epiphany that we wouldn't experience during the rush and tangled nature of our minds during everyday life. We all need to set aside time every once in a while to step away from all of the things that trouble us during the rush of everyday life. Meditation helps solve one of the most common and largest problem that so many people deal with, which is when they get into a spiraling cycle of monotony and consistency that they become accustomed to. We all have things that trouble us, we all have baggage, and we all struggle with keeping our mind healthy and at peace. Meditation alleviates all of those issues and helps us to better understand ourselves and grow mentally and spiritually. If you haven't tried meditation, I strongly recommend it. It won't just help you understand yourself, it will make you a stronger and more stable person. Overall, take time to take care of yourself.
