What will things be like in 2047? This is an interesting question. Well, it's a little hard to differentiate between what I think things will like vs what I hope things will be like. Society naturally progresses but it's never certain which direction that progress will go. Scientific advancements are always moving forward so I'd like to think that we will be more advanced in the fields of science and medicine. Culture is constantly changing and evolving so I would imagine that music, art, and literature will become starkly different from what we see today. Who knows what the economy will be like 30 years down the road but if I had to guess I'd say that some industries will overtake the current major ones we see today. I think and hope that by 2047 environmental energy sources will become the most prominent form of energy that society uses. When it comes to politics, as we see today there is a lot of division across the political landscape, and unless something significant occurs that builds a bridge, I don't see that changing. Thinking about the future can be either exciting or terrifying depending on your outlook on life. I'm trying to be optimistic about the future, but I know that as we grow as a society, new problems will emerge and challenge us. Hopefully, however, we will also find solutions to those problems so that we can move in a more positive direction. What will the future hold? I think we'll just have to wait and see.
