This is definitely an interesting one to unpack. Although this is a philosophy that many think would work, I think that ultimately there is a need for at least a minimal form of centralized government. Privatized industries always seem to focus more on making money than actually helping those that they are supposed to be providing a service to. Now of course government isn't perfect, it's made up of people after all, but I think that if it was completely dissolved it would begin a vicious cycle where, yes corporations would profit, but they'd do so by making everything about competition and leave average everyday people in the dust, which in my opinion, just isn't right. Although I'm absolutely not opposed to the free market, I think government should at least play a small role as a regulator to make sure that predatory business practices aren't left unchecked so the average everyday person won't be taken advantage of. Sure, many people think life would be better without the government breathing down their necks but I think completely removing government from the equation would have incredibly negative results.
